MARIA FRIESEN With sadness the family of Maria Friesen announces her passing away peacefully at 2:00 a.m. on the morning of March 31, 2000, at the Bethania Nursing Home, reaching the age of 95 years. Mom resided most of her life in Niverville, Man. She leaves to mourn her son Leonard and his wife Wilma; two grandchildren, Bill, Wendy (Carl) and two great-grandchildren, Braedon and Riley Horbacio. The family wishes to extend special thanks to all the staff at Bethania Personal Care Home, especially the staff on 6 North. Thanks to all the very special nieces and nephews who meant so much to her. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church in Niverville with Pastors Jake Doerksen and Ben Hiebert officiating. Friends may pay their last respects at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Niverville Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in her memory to Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R2K 3S7.
